Overview

Matt is entering his Senior (Grade 12) year at Vernon Secondary.  He is an outstanding student/athlete

A solid 3.60 student, Matt has been named to the Honor Roll and Principal's List (>86% average) every year since the 8th Grade .

Matt is a cheerful, outgoing individual with a great sense of humor but inside he is extremely goal-oriented with a burning desire to be successful in whatever activities he is involved in.  He has an excellent work-ethic both on the field and in the classroom and we have no doubt that he can achieve any goal he puts his mind to.

Matt is a multi-sport athlete who has a passion for football. He is an unselfish leader and is continually encouraging his teammates.....he leads by example.

Away from the athletic field and classroom, Matt  has several interests including competitive free-style skiing and NASCAR racing where he runs the pit crew for his Dad's Street Stock car. On any given summer weekend the entire family can be found at any one of several race tracks (Matt's sister races in the Hornet Series).

Matt also volunteers as a Sunday School Youth Leader in the Vernon Alliance Church and in his spare time volunteers as an assistant hockey and ringette coach.  He is a member of the Vernon Secondary Grad Committee and this year he participated in the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) Student Training Program

Matt will graduate in June 2009 and is interested in pursuing a career in business after playing university football.

An excellent prospect.
