Overview

Tanner is an excellent athlete who excels in football and rugby.

He is driven to be successful in everything he sets his mind to. He has an excellent work ethic and can focus on the task at hand.

Tanner is popular among his peers, teammates, coaches, and teachers. He exhibits a cheerful disposition off the field but once the whistle blows he is all business.

Away from the athletic arena, Tanner is heavily involved in many volunteer activities including volunteering at his church, helping out with coaching his rugby team, fund raising for his football team as well as other school projects and he also acts as a Big Brother mentoring younger students at Abbotsford Middle School.

From his fullback position he is a punishing runner and has good blocking skills. Defensively, he LOVES to hit. His tackling technique is excellent and he is a sure tackler who "brings it" all the time time.

We project Tanner to be one of the Top Five running back/linebacker prospects graduating in 2012..

Versus inside run:	Steps up well to fill the hole…..is very physical…..can take on blocks and shed quickly
Versus outside run:	Can ward off a block and has the speed to get to the sideline…. takes good angles in pursuit
Blitz/pass rush:	He is a power rusher and is learning some finesse ….uses his hands well…..has very good feet
Key and diagnose:	Can read and react quickly……..gets a good jump on ball….has good football instincts
Lateral pursuit:	Can get over trash…..has flexible hips….can chase sideline to sideline
Tackling:	Wraps up well…..usually tackles high…..is able to drag down…..tackles with power and is punishing
Pass drop:	Gets adequate depth….. shows the ability to play in zone coverage
Pass coverage/hands:	Can cover man-to-man

Running Back Inside Running:	Can pick and slide….has good vision and is quick to the hole

Power Runner:	Runs with good balance…..can break tackles….falls forward after contact
Blocker:	Very good blocker…..has good instincts in pass protection….good run blocking skills
Hands, Routes:	Can make both easy and tough catches out of the backfield….have not seen any fumble problems….protects the ball well
