Overview

Francesco is one of the Top Ten senior football student athletes that will graduate in June 2009.

An impressive young man, Francesco is an undisputed leader on his team - the Vancouver College Fighting Irish.  He is a dominant player as a linebacker where he is currently the leading tackler on the Fighting Irish squad, and is an effective runner and blocker as a fullback.  . The Irish also use Francesco as an inside receiver (slot back or tight end) and he is the long snapper for punts and field goals.  Francesco is a PLAYER...he has an excellent understanding and feel for the game.  He is aggressive and loves to hit and he has a burning desire to win and be successful.  He is also an outstanding team player and team success is of paramount importance to him.

Francesco combines his outstanding athleticism with an incredible work ethic.  He trains on a year round basis and has a great growth potential.  Francesco has a cheerful and engaging personality off the field but once the whistle blows he is all business and his motor doesn't stop running until the final whistle.

In the classroom he is a solid C+ to B student and we expect him to graduate in the 3.5 GPA range.  Francesco is a Senior Letterman at Vancouver College and is involved in many leadership roles from organizing social activities to acting as a peer mentor.

Francesco is looking to pursue a career in business management hopefully in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Prior to his senior year Francesco played a variety of other sports including soccer where he played for the Vancouver Selects (Whitecaps) which one year won the North American Championship.  He played basketball up until Grade 11 but has since decided to concentrate on football.  However, he will compete in track and field in the spring where he will run in the 4 x 100 and also throw the shot.

Francesco was recently named the Outstanding Linebacker in the Western Conference.

Francesco has the ability, desire and dedication to compete a very high level and we rank him as one of the Top Three linebackers in British Columbia.
