Overview

New to football in 2009, Jason is a natural athlete who is very quickly making his mark as a wide receiver and defensive back.

He has fast become the “go-to” receiver for the Seahawks and shows excellent game speed with excellent hand/eye coordination.

Off the field, Jason is a quiet and very respectful young man.  He works very hard to improve his skills and is very coachable.

In his other major sport Jason is a premier soccer goalie with a very strong and accurate leg and he has used that skill to become an outstanding football kicker.  He has excellent range and accuracy

Hands: has outstanding concentration on both easy and tough catches….has very soft hands….seldom if ever body- catches…. snatches the ball when thrown outside his frame…picks the ball out of the air….protects the ball well after the catch.

Patterns: needs work in running patterns due to inexperience, but is improving all the time…. shows good body control

Receive Long and Short: accelerates well to the ball in the air…..is learning to find soft spots and to use his body in order to be a possession receiver…..can stretch the field and go deep

Run After Catch: is a threat to score every time he touches the ball….. makes catches in stride…..is elusive in tight and open spaces

Blocker: is very willing to block but due to inexperience is not a good control blocker yet

Release: avoids the jam at the line of scrimmage as well as downfield….has good releases….gets back on his route quickly…. can be very physical

React to Ball in Crowd:  comes over the middle and catches the ball in traffic and when defended well….is tough enough to hang on to the ball and take a hit…..will extend to catch the jump ball

Initial Quick’s: has good acceleration…. gets off ball and can kick it into several extra gears.
