Athletic & Personal Profile

Overview

Rob ("RJ") is in his sophomore year at Langley Secondary school where he plays quarterback and safety for the AA Junior Varsity Saints.  He is also the starting quarterback for the community-based Chilliwack Giants (bantam). He has been playing football since 2003 when he signed up for Atom football.

RJ missed his entire Grade 9 year with a broken leg and has bounced back with a vengeance in his Grade 10 year.....he is making up for lost time.

Offensively, RJ has a very strong and accurate arm and he has the ability to use his feet to his best advantage.  He is mobile and is not afraid to run when the protection around him breaks down.  He also has a very good understanding of the game which is due in part to the fact that his father is a coach and that he attends off-season camps such as the Prepchuk Quarterback Academy and the Simon Fraser University summer camp

Defensively RJ likes to hit and displays good fundamental defensive back skills which will improve as he grows and matures physically.

He is a leader on the field and displays great enthusiasm for the game and is very competitive and goal-driven and most of all RJ is a team player.

He has a late birthday which means he is almost a full year younger than his Grade 10 teammates and he will not turn15 years of age until  December, 2010.

He has size 13 feet and we project RJ to be in the 6' 1", 185# - 190# range when he graduates in 2013.

If RJ continues to develop at his current rate we project him to be a Top Ten Recruit in 2013
